Pictures That I Love

My Puma.

 Truth.

Okay. He was the cutest kitten!

I have really been enjoying Instagram. Of course, Puma is my model most of the time.

 I loved this!

 Picnic date in Logan.

 Haha!

There is a really pretty willow tree right by our apartment.

So, no, I don't like rats. But this just killed me.

Sometimes I think it's fun to just share pictures. They are a big part of my everyday life!

Just Some Recent Ramblings

Well, it sure has been awhile since I have posted on here, so I thought I would share some thoughts that have been running through our heads as of late. (If anyone checks this blog anymore.. haha)

~ I have been thinking about going brunette. Not just some light brown, but the real deal. I have had a lot of people tell me it would "bring out my blue eyes" and "why not, you can always change it back." There have also been a few who think it wouldn't look good on me. What do you think? Personally, I am leaning towards trying it.

~ When oh WHEN will be hearing from these grad schools?!

~ Looooving the Spring weather we had this week. Doug and I both have a bad bout of Spring Fever now, however.

~ I need a getaway. Badly. I think I am officially going insane.

~ I sure do love the people that I work with. They are all so nice and we have the best conversations. There is not a single soul there that I don't enjoy a conversation with.

~ I have been a tiny bit obsessed with Mythbusters lately. We have had one of those "free trials" with Netflix and I always seem to find a new episode I haven't watched. That show makes my day. I also found out that they came to SALT LAKE in January... I am so upset I missed it. You better believe going to that show would have been what I asked for for my birthday. Anyway, love them.

~ I have really liked using the Instgram app on my iPod. I can take a quick pic, make it look good, and share it with my friends.

~ The writer of The Daybook Blog can literally make me bust out laughing sometimes. One day at lunch I lost all control and Doug thought I was a crazy person. (Remember how I need a getaway?)

~ I really love the Gospel.

~ Doug was elected as the delegate of our precinct at the caucus meeting. The only reason he was, seriously, is because he actually talked once and had an opinion. Wowee go us!

~ I am at a point in my life that I want to "freshen up" my life. I want to find new hobbies, work out more, study my scriptures more diligently, and do some things for myself sometimes instead of worrying about everything else in the world BUT my needs.

Well, I will stop rambling now, but those are some of the happenings and thoughts that have been floating around lately. :) Gotta love it!

The Flower Lady

I'm not sure why, but the last few days I have been thinking about a lady I miss seeing in while we lived in New Haven, Connecticut. Her name is Annette and she has been deemed 'the flower lady' by those who know who she is. First of all, you have to understand that New Haven is a city where you walk or ride your bike a lot. Yes, you can drive, but with so many one-ways and small roads, it's not always practical for closer things.

Annette sells carnations wrapped in paper for $1. She is always kind no matter if you choose to get one or not. Doug introduced me to her after he brought me home a flower one day. She started recognizing us and would often give me a free flower. She would always say to Doug, "You keep princess smiling" or "You make sure she has a smile on her face." She personally had very little, yet didn't let that make her bitter. I look up to people like that. We miss seeing you around, Annette!
